WORKSHOP 4:Look at the following quotations and explain 1

"In the real world, conversations with sympathetic native speakers who are willing to help the acquirer understand are very helpful." Stephen Krashen.

The appointment demonstrates the importance of the latter hypothesis, the Affective Filter hypothesis, embodies Krashen's view that a number of 'affective variables' play a facilitative (sympathetic native), but non-causal, role in second language acquisition. These variables include: motivation, self-confidence and anxiety. Krashen claims that learners with high motivation, self-confidence, a good self-image, and a low level of anxiety are better equipped for success in second language acquisition. Low motivation, low self-esteem, and debilitating anxiety can combine to 'raise' the affective filter and form a 'mental block' that prevents comprehensible input from being used for acquisition. In other words, when the filter is 'up' it impedes language acquisition. On the other hand, positive affect is necessary, but not sufficient on its own, for acquisition to take place.

  2. It is necesary to reinforce the activity, innate for the person.
  3. Agent active, important to enviroment to learning.

NURTURE
  1. Mechanistic view, he learner should eat to learn a second language, is a passive recipient.through imitation.
  2. construct their learning by rote.

MIND MAP 2

MIND MAP 1

What part of a L2 can be hard to get at older ages?

According estudios performed with age is the left hemisphereatrophy, this hemisphere is where language functions are developed, so if it is faster to acquire the grammar, it is harder foradults to develop good pronunciation of the second language.

Why is it important that children learn a L2 early?

Today, we know that learning a second language is a need for newgenerations ...

this new concern to learn a foreign language, has brought with itnew questions .... How to teach the second language more effectively?

Hence the birth of various methods and principles for the agesshows created temparanas English.

This gave rise to different viewpoints, and methods for the original shows in English at an early age ....

Among them we can mention "the practice factivilidad start learninga foreign language at an early age, for reasons psychological, physiological and social," exposed by Enriquez in his research project entitled, "Teaching English to a very early age through the course contents, the world we live"

Arcia Chavez also explains why the best time to learn a foreign language is the initial stage. For example, the pronunciation is better when the language is acquired early in life.

It is also important what they say various authors with respect to brain plasticity and flexibility at an early age, thereby encouragingthe assimilation of new codes.

addition children have the capacity to incorporate the languagenaturally and frustration as adults.
Finally, it would be advantageous to take advantage of auditoryand phonetic skills naturally have children, the flexibility of yourlips and tongue, as well as to capacity to imagine that would benefit the acquisition of a second language.

Why I want to teach English to children?.....

I teach English because.....
  • I teach English to children, first as a personal challenge.
  • Also because I know that young children are better able to acquire a language,  for your infinite malleability and incorporation of new knowledge.
  • The incorporating them in classroom second language also makeslearning engaging and entertaining, and children to prove it. Also, for my work becomes more enjoyable and feel I have a better letter of presentation in labor, because the knowledge of English and teach it, is a professional plus.
